The DCCCD Blackboard app makes it easy to take learning with you wherever you go, whether you’re waiting in line at the grocery store or sitting on the couch on a Saturday morning. While the app won’t replace any of your textbooks, it can be used in conjunction with them to allow you to access key information anywhere and anytime! Here’s what you need to know about this valuable tool and how to use it most effectively.

Overview – DCCCD Blackboard App


The DCCCD Blackboard App is a great way to keep up with your classes and assignments while on the go. Here’s a quick guide on how to get started using it. First, download the app from the Apple or Google Play store.

You’ll need an email address associated with your district login account in order to set up an account. Once you’ve created an account, you can sign in by entering your password or email address, followed by the corresponding password or PIN that was sent via email when creating your account.

There are three main tabs at the top of the screen: My Courses, My Assignments, and Notifications. Clicking on any of these will show a list of courses or assignments for that tabbed category respectively. Clicking on any course will show all courses within this category, including pending courses that haven’t been completed yet as well as past courses that have already been completed. Similarly, clicking on any assignment will show all pending and past due assignments for this course.

The DCCCD Blackboard App home page can be a little overwhelming at first. There are a lot of features and options available, but don’t worry! This guide will help you understand the basics of the home page so that you can get started using the app. One thing to note before moving on is that there are four tabs at the top of the screen which allow you to navigate through different sections of the app: Home, Course Materials, Campus Events, and News.

For now, though, let’s just focus on the Home tab. You’ll notice that there are two buttons at the bottom of the screen: Navigate and Help. Clicking on Navigate takes you back to your homepage while clicking on Help brings up an index with links to tutorials and articles about various features in the app.

The DCCCD Blackboard login App allows you to access your online courses and content from your mobile device. You can log in with your DCCCD credentials, view your courses, receive notifications, and more. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use the app

  • 1. Open the app
  • 2. Tap Log In
  • 3. Enter your username and password
  • 4 Tap Sign In


It’s important to note that if you have classes in different formats (traditional or blended), you’ll need to log in for each format separately.

How do I get the Blackboard app?

Both the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android users provide the Blackboard app without charge. What hardware is needed to run the Blackboard app? Blackboard requires a device running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (API 15) or newer with a resolution size of 1024x768px or above, as well as an iPhone 5 or higher, iPad 3rd generation or higher, and iPod touch 6th generation or higher with at least iOS 9.0 and a newer operating system.

Once the app is downloaded, students can then log in with their DCCCD eConnect username and password. After logging in, students will be able to see a list of their courses that are using Blackboard. From there, they can click on a specific course to access all of the content associated with that particular class. Students will also have the ability to send questions directly to their instructor via email or text message if they need help understanding any material.

If you need to change your password for any reason, you can do so by following these steps doing it wrongly leads to blackboard dcccd sign in error:

  • Go to the DCCCD Blackboard App login page.
  • Enter username and current password.
  • Click on the Settings gear icon corner of the screen.
  • Select Change Password from the drop-down menu.
  • Enter your new password and click Submit.
  • Please make sure to write down or remember this new password as you will not be able to recover it if forgotten or lost.
  • Must contain at least one upper-case letter
  • Must contain at least one lowercase letter
  • Must contain at least one numeric value
  • Must contain at least one special character (such as !, $, %)
  • Passwords cannot include more than three consecutive duplicates
  • All passwords must be over 8 characters
  • Passwords cannot include dictionary words
  • Cannot use user’s first name
  • Cannot use user’s last name
  • Cannot use users’ email addresses

Changing your Username


You can access your eCampus classes on your mobile device with the DCCCD.Blackboard App. You must sign into the app and navigate to the “Settings” screen in order to update your username. You can modify your profile information from there. Before leaving the page, remember to save your modifications! Once this procedure is finished, this new name will be used for all future transactions made using the DCCCD Blackboard App.

Changing Profile Information


The DCCCD Blackboard App allows you to view and change your profile information. To change your profile information, log in to the app and click on the My Profile tab. From there, you can edit your name, email address, password, and other settings. Once you’re finished making changes, be sure to click Save so that your new information will be saved.
